Delayed Start Turns into Double Overtime Tie

Katrina RoseTAMPA - As Friday night turned into Saturday morning, it was the same story all over again. For the second consecutive game, the FIU women's soccer team endured a double overtime contest, this time tying USF , 0-0.

Pineiro Stifling Defense Lead Bulls to 1-0 Win Over FAU

TAMPA - The University of South Florida women's soccer team would use a similar combination to what it used in its two previous exhibitions matches; second half scoring and overpowering defense as sophomore Noelle Piniero would provide the scoring in USF's 1-0 victory over Florida Atlantic to open up the 2009 season Friday evening.

The in-state foes would play a scoreless first half. The score was however a bit misleading. The Bulls had numerous scoring opportunities as the Bulls put six shots on goal.
